Itinerary and highlights
Start your adventure with a convenient transfer from your accommodation in El Calafate to the imposing Los Glaciares National Park. The Route 11 tour is an experience in itself: the vastness of the Patagonian steppe, its wildlife and the views of Lake Argentina anticipate the wonder that awaits you.
Our guides will accompany you at all times, sharing fascinating facts about the history, ecology and geology of this UNESCO World Heritage Site region. Upon entering the park, we will make a stop at the Mirador de los Sigurs, where you will have your first visual encounter with the Brazo Rico and the south face of the majestic Perito Moreno Glacier.
The tour begins with a walk through the park’s network of walkways, which stretches for 4 kilometers (2.5 miles). From different levels and viewpoints, you can admire the glacier from various perspectives, enjoying panoramic and unique views.
You will have approximately 2 hours to walk the walkways and, if you wish, you can take the opportunity to pause and have lunch, either with a picnic or at one of the nearby restaurants.
Afterwards, you will embark on a boat ride of approximately 1 hour, approaching the imposing wall of the Perito Moreno glacier.
At the end of the tour, you will return to El Calafate by the same route, arriving in the city in the afternoon.
